Narrative
WILMINGTON, NC – One person died Tuesday when a vehicle struck them them at a busy intersection on the south side of Wilmington.
The accident happened sometime before 9 p.m. at Carolina Beach Road and Sanders Road, which is just west of Myrtle Grove.
Police say the pedestrian was crossing Carolina Beach Road when a Nissan hit them. Authorities have not yet identified the victim.
The driver of the vehicle did stop to render aid and speak with officials.
No charges are pending in connection to the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
